UMC404 crackle

I'm trying to record with the UMC404, but get a crackling sound with any sound. Any suggestions?

We need a lot more info in order to be able to help you. Which version of Audition and on what operating system? Is it 'crackling' only when recording? Does it play back other imported .wav files from Audition or other software OK? Have you got the latest drivers installed for it and are using the ASIO ones from Behringer? What are your settings in Audition's Audio Hardware set up page (post a screen grab here if possible showing the settings)?
