Unable to record internal audio HP G40 G1 Win10

Hi, I'm unable to record internal audio using Adobe Audition CS5. I have a HP G40 G1 laptop with Win10.  On my Win 7 I was able to do it because it had Envy24HF AudioDeck Control Panel where I could change the input to Stereo in but I'm not able to do that on my new laptop.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I do have a suggestion, yes. Do what I do, and bypass the whole stupid system. If I want to record a stereo mix, then I use SoundTap, which is designed to get over this problem completely. It doesn't cost much, and it just works. I have no association with NCH other than as a satisfied customer, incidentally. You'll find it here.

Thank you. I will give your suggestion a try after I test out Virtual Audio Cable.

Although not completely the same scenario as yours I think the Answer in this post will tell you why!

Essentially, the "feature" was removed/blocked by Microsoft, at the insistence of the RIAA.
