Unexplained Thumps [Locked]
Hello everyone,
I'm not very savvy yet with audition so I'm not sure of things I can try to solve this problem. When I record my voice overs I get frequent thumps in the audio that are definitely coming internally. I am in a vocal booth and it's a very controlled environment with no external thumps possible. I've changed my Mic and interface to make sure it wasn't caused by any audio hardware and the thumps persist. Now I'm left thinking it might be a setting issue like sample rate etc., but I don't know enough yet to even have a sense of things to experiment with. Any thoughts or advice would really really be appreciated. These thumps are impossible to differentiate in spectral view so editing them out is a very difficult task that is way to time consuming. Sometimes I just can't seem to edit them out at all. Very frustrating. I'm using a Rode NT1 mic and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface. Previously I was using a Rode NT USB with the same thumps occurring. I'm running Windows 10 Pro with 16 GB of RAM if that helps.
