HELP! IT´S URGENT!

Well, since the first time I bought Adobe Audition, I could record perfectly, but with the latest upgrade, when I was trying to record my guitar again, the sound is comming late to my headphones and I DON´T KNOW WHAT TO DO, I must deliver something tomorrow and until now, I can´t fix this.

PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS TO FOLLOW!
