Use external Mics and internal Sounds at the same time

Question

Hi thereIs there a way to record the sound of my external mics as well as the sound of my computer at the same time in audition? The Mics I have connected via a Zoom H6 multichannel audio interface. I get all the channels fine. I manage also to get the system sound via stereo mix in the sound settings of windows. But in audition I have to chose in audio options either Asio oder mme as device class. Each one excludes the other.I wannt to use a soundboard and don't want to buy a mixer as well.Thanks for any ideasPhil

Probably not.Audition just records what it's given by you sound card or audio interface--issues of signal routing are handled in that part of your computer.ASIO is designed to bypass a the Windows audio settings to provide a much lower latency than WDM/MME which run though the Windows operating system. If you can persuade your Zoom to operate under WDM drivers AND persuade you audio control panel to let you select two things you may be lucky--but it's pretty rare.
