Use offline Help in CS6

I am using CS6 and followed these instructions at this link:

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/offline-help.html

I got it all working and the audition_reference.pdf will open fine.  However, the link states this at the bottom:

Note:

If your computer has an Internet connection, selecting Help or pressing F1 opens the online help even if you install the PDF.  Disconnect your computer from the Internet to ensure that the PDF launches correctly when offline.

I do not want to disconnect from the Internet.  Is there any way I can modify the registry or an Adobe file to open the off-line PDF while still on-line?

    Correct answer ryclark

I don't know absolutely, but I suspect that all the HelpCfg file contains is the information about where Acrobat is...

All legacy Audition Help files can be found at Archive . Although that won't help you with the AA CS6 offline built in link but you will be able to download the .pdf help file for local use.

I strongly suspect that if there was an easy way of doing that, it would be an option. It's almost certainly hard-coded, because of its interactive nature.

Thanks.  Yes, I had a sinking feeling that that would be the case.

While online, I now have this problem.  When I click help or F1, it takes me to a broken link:

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The same if I click on an effect information icon to get help.

In C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\HelpCfg\en_US, there is the file Audition.helpcfg.  Could the settings be incorrect in there?
