Waves are gone

Question

I changed the audio hardware to WASPI from ASIO and when I changed it back the nice big waves I am used to which made editing a breeze have been replaced by zigzaging lines.

I tried uninstalling Audition and reinstalling it but it didnt help. I have no idea what to try next. Any ideas?

Good move changing from the amazingly outdated WASAPI to ASIO - now you need to go to Edit>Preferences>General and see what the fifth checkbox down is set to. This is the one that says 'Use hardware acceleration for drawing (restart required). If it's checked, then uncheck it and restart Audition. And vice versa.
