Weird record issue on new laptop

Hey all,

I recently upgraded my laptop (New ROG Strix) and I am encountring a really weird issue.

When I start recording (both with my basic headset and with my Rode console) there is an issue that causes the record to stutter and not really record, its basically stuck and moves very slow, bottom line, its not recording.

I updated my drivers and tried every solution found on the web.

Today I noticed something weird, if I play any kind of sound (Chrome, Spotify, media player, anything) and then start recording it suddenly works.

If I wait around 5-10 seconds and try to record it gets stuck again, I play something (pause it) and it works.

It seems the fact I am playing something it unlocks something and Audition is able to record, like something goes on hibernate if I wait a few seconds.

I am using the latest Audition version and Windows 11.

Previous laptop was also a ROG gaming laptop with windows 11 as well, the audio hardware setup is exactly the same so I doubt its something within Audition settings.

Can someone think of anything that might cause this? I am really lost.
