Wet/Dry Mix

Recording a podcast with Rode Procaster mics and Rodecaster pro interface. I've recently placed a Fethead to boost the gain of my mic. After doing so, if I place 'Track' effects on that mic's track it doesn't take affect. I have to place the effects on the clip. Also, the Wet/Dry mix automatically moves back to around 76 no matter what. If I slide it to increase or decrease the mix it automatically slides back to the original position. Can anyone help??
