Question

When recording clip background color is red - can this be changed?

Just upgraded our work machine and it's Windows 10. We downloaded the latest version of CC and Adobe Audition. Now whenever we record a track the clip background while recording is BRIGHT Red. This is annoying. Is there anyway to change this? I like the way it was in previous versions, where the background color was dark or neutral and just the waves where red.

No I don't think that you can. It is coded into Audition I believe.

Yeah, I think you're right. They need to fix that. I do 30 to 60 minute radio shows and record them live to audition and it's annoying. It never used to be red. They should at least give you the option to change it back to the classic look.

It always was red but not nearly so bright. The old style was a bright red track header and recorded waveform against a much darker, almost black background. The latest CC 2019 version has the same bright red track header and the same bright colour for the waveform background with the new waveform shown in white on it. So much more garish unfortunately.

You could always complain about it on the Bug/Feature reporting link. Audition: Hot (380 ideas) – Adobe video & audio apps
