Whole wavelength being chosen when clicking

When I click on a waveform, too often the visible part of the wave form is highlighted instead of just leaving the cursor where I have chosen to put it by clicking. 
Anybody else having this problem? Any solutions? Can I disable the double clicking which chooses the visible part of the wave form? Can I increase the time betwen clicks so the visible part of the wave form is not chosen?

I am using Audition 13.0.3.60.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
