Why are the volume keyframes on clips sent from Premiere auto set higher than in Premiere?

Was wondering why the volume of a sequence was so loud in Audition and realized that volume of each clip had its volume keyframe bar set almost a third higher than normal in Premiere. Needless to say i'd like to know how to stop this from happening so i can actually work on the sequence from the baseline established in the Premiere sequence.
