P: Distraction Removal: People (CR & LrClassic)

While the tool removed the people nicely, it did not adjust the surrounding lighting, making it look like two ghosts were stalking the photo. 

The other problem is the tool deletes things it should not. Here are before and after examples from today. Frankly disappointing and dispiriting that one year later, while AI has made so many incredible advances, this tool continues to make so many mistakes.

People removal tool can work really well, but does not always identify all of the people.  It would be helpful if there was a way to refine the selection,  like adding the people that were not identified so that they could be easily removed. I have a picture where there were two people that were not identified by the remove tool, but they were identified by the mask people tool.  Also there was a case where two people were identified as a single person and I did not want to remove both people.  Sometimes the content replacement is weird and appears to be based on what the people were wearing rather than the background.

Sometimes it works really well, but other times the result isn't usable. It would be helpful to have an eraser tool available to refine part of the character selection. That would certainly improve the result. 

So AI removed people alright but could not create the content based on context.

It works sometimes, but not others. Maybe there are too many people in the background. The prompt says, "Click the pin icon to generate results for this area," but where is the pin?

If there was a brush to adapt the selections, it would be nice. Removing the bride and groom on a busy bridge along with all the other people wasn’t my goal haha

This is a great tool, however I have found that frequently it tends to link groups of people I want removed to the ones I want to keep. I really haven’t found a way to get around this. This makes me think that there is room for improvement. 

The removal of Distracting People tool in LRC works like magic on some photos.  In others it misses obvious people in the photo and in others it want to remove non people objects.  So it’s quite a mixed review, but in my opinion it’s worth keeping in LRC and trying to improve it’s reliability.
