Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting People

Under the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.

This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience.

Thank you!

It should remove the people and not replacing it with other stuff!

And often it can not detect any people! There is place for improvement!! You can do it better

As I try this, it seems to pick random people. I usually want to add more people to be removed. That would be a nice feature to add in here.

Removes more than the person in a High Res image. So not the best I'm afraid.

Generally works well. Just used it on two photos with people on very edge and it left an element of the person on the edge, but closer to the edge of the photo. Easily removed with a crop, but wanted to mention it. See screenshots below

The open passageway was inappropriately replaced by a door. Although this may be apparent from the composition of the image, it is undesirable (see attachments).
