We have a courseware built in Captivate version 6, contains demos, Try its (demo steps where learner clicking the correct/incorrect steps and getting feedback. We have provided 2 attempts per step to move forward on click box. Also added the advance action (Expression: tryit1_correctscore = tryit1_correctscore + 1) on each step. The 2 attempts for each step works well in the course for the first time but attempting again the same try it without closing the browser, each step moves forward on a single incorrect click instead of 2 incorrect. Pls respond.

What version of Cp6 are you on?  If it is not Cp 6.0.1 or 6.1 (for subscription users) please update with the latest patch and try again.

I've just set up a quick dummy project in Cp7 to replicate your issue and it seems to work fine.  After clicking the Retake Quiz button and returning to a slide with a click box set to allow two attempts before continuing, my project still required two attempts each time.

Perhaps you could try quickly setting up a new blank project to see if the issue also occurs in new projects or only your current one. If it's only your current one, perhaps there is some corruption that has crept in.

Thanks for your quick response, I am using cp6 version 6.0.0.199. Do I need an update?

Yes you do.  Use the Help > Updates menu option.

Be sure to delete your Preferences folder before you relaunch Captivate after the update.
