Hello,

Can I build something like this in Captivate? The flash game:
Crossing the Bridge : nrich.maths.org

Also, if I send the cptx file (I use Windows) to someone who uses Captivate for Mac, will they be able to use it?

THanks.

Captivate is not really aimed at creating games. I have no time to check it out, think it could be done, certainly if you combine JS with variables, advanced/shared actions.

I have a couple of examples of simple games on my blog. This was the tast post:

Thank you Lily. I'll review your blog.

I haven't tried this before, is JS in Captivate similar to JS used for website development?

You will find more information about the JS API in Captivate in this part of the Help documentation:

    Common JS interface

This is for Captivate 8, where you have a common interface for both SWF and HTML5 output. That was not the case for earlier versions.

I am not sure whether you can create this but Captivate do have some inbuilt interactions which you can use.

You can share your projects created in Windows platform to the person who is using Mac. He would be able to open .CPTX files on Mac.

    Regards,

    Rajeev.

Thank you Rajeev. That saves me from purchasing a Mac version. The built-in interactions are not what I need though.
