500+ SCORMS to republish with settings changes - any batch / automated method?

We have a large quantity of SCORMs to republish with the same changes.

Is there a method to automate or batch publish Captivate files to SCORMs ?

The changes are at a metadata / publish settings level - not involving graphical content.

Could a build server run some kind of windows batch file?
Is there any working Windows automation tool that might do this?

Or, does anyone have experience building a bespoke solution? We would devote in-house engineering time for this if there were a proven way to do this.
