508 compliance hits - are they fixable? or explainable? (Captivate 7)

Captivate 7

I am working on a project for a government contract so, of course it needs to be 508 compliant. I have a small handful of hits that I am not sure how to either fix or simply explain away as something that is not applicable. Has anyone encountered any of these and - if so - can you provide any information gleened? The two in red are the most severe and need to be addressed either with a fix or an explanation as to why they cannot be fixed. Thank-you so much.

Interestingly enough, it appears the first four hits are targeting the "skin" and not the actual course: "..._skin.swf"

So it doesn't like something in the skin itself.

Maybe you could try NOT having the skin as an external SWF and see whether that helps.

That first one is a killer, because it means that you will need to give an equivalent experience. I contract with the Air Force and our method for SWF-based courses is that we use an HTML launch page that asks (auto-detection is iffy) if they need an accessible version of the course. If yes, we direct them to a PDF of the content and state that we will provide a proctor for any examinations. The PDF is all text and images, nothing interactive.

Not sure about the second one, but there are not any heading in the Captivate output. Add some to the HTML and see what happens.

I really appreciate the feedback and that seems pretty straight forward. I know when I publish, I can publish a PDF version as well and we can include that in the package directing users to its availability if needed. As for the 2nd one, I may simply try to list that one as an "N/A" due to the nature of Captivate's finished product. We will see how that goes. Thanks again, TLCMediaDesign!
