A different weird audio problem

Hi -

The per-slide audio is dropping from certain slides, but not the same slides, nor all the time (i.e. sometimes the SWF plays out perfectly, other times it's like swiss cheese) - published in Captivate 1.01
(No evidence of hardware or platform issues)
Help!

Hello Elbey,

Could you try the following and let us know if the audio is still dropping out.

1. Open your Captivate 1.01 project file.
2. Choose Audio > Advanced Audio
3. In the Advanced Audio Management dialog box select the audio files
4. Click the Export button
5. Now choose Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
6. In Sound Recorder choose File > Open and browse to select the files you export from Captivate
7. Open each of the audio files and press Play

Does the audio drop out in Sound Recorder?

Regards,
Mark

Thanks for the prompt followup, Mark!
All of the per-slide audio files play just fine in Sound Recorder.
As I say, sometime the SWF plays perfectly, other times not, and there's no evident pattern to the dysfunction. It's the inconsistency that's very worrisome to me.
Thanks in advance for your help - L

Hello Elbey,

Hmmm, in that case would it be possible for you to let us see the Captivate file? To do this you could use a service provide like yousendit.com

Simply, upload the file. In the email section of the website, give your own email id. once the file is uploaded, it will give you a link of the uploaded file. also the link will be sent to your email id.

Regards,
Mark
