Accessibility - tab and enter won't work with Advanced Actions show/hide

I've been researching this for 2 days.  Can't find a solution.

I work in an Australian Government agency and need to create eLearning that's WCAG compliant.  I've created a few slides that have advanced actions these won't work with tab and enter.

The Advanced actions are to show a particular caption on select and hide all the rest.

I've used both transparent buttons and smartshapes as buttons.  When I add the advanced actions to the objects they work brilliantly on mouse click but simply won't work when the user tabs to the object.  In theory they should be able to tab then press spacebar or enter to view the hidden object.

I've searched across the internet and found loads of sites that show me how to do Advanced actions.  That's not what I need.  I need to know how to make them accessible.

Below is a link to a sample video to show what I mean.  I start first by trying to press tab then enter/spacebar.  That doesn't work so I use mouse click.  Mouseclick works.  Tab and enter doesn't.

Jean,

I just did a quick test of this with a SmartShape Button on slide executing a Standard Action that hides two text captions and shows another one.

I could not replicate your issue where tabbing to the button and hitting ENTER did not execute the action successfully.

Could you check your settings in Preferences to see if you have Enable Accessibility on?

Note that you can also restrict tabbing to the slide and not the playbar if necessary.

Yes I have that setting selected in my demo file.

There must be a setting somewhere I'm missing.

Then perhaps the issue is related to browser security settings.

If you are testing this locally on your PC, try uploading it to a web server and testing from there.  That usually negates any localised security issues.
