Active/Inactive..flipped?

I have a slide that is 3 seconds long.

When I insert a text entry box it automatically shows up on the timeline as active for 1.5, then inactive for 1.5.

When I preview my slide the text box does not show up until after 1.5 seconds.

I cannot figure out how to have it appear when the slide starts or why there is a 1.5 second delay in showing it. Shouldn't it be visible during the "active" portion on the timeline?

    Can you post a screenshot of the timeline?

    Could you check the On Enter action of that slide? Which action is used?

    Here is a screen shot of the timeline and the timing panel. On enter: no action.
