Add additional text box to a Captivate Demo

I've just received the latest version of Captivate at work.  I've not used it for years and am throwing together some system simulations - recording both the demo and training sim at the same time.  In editing the demo sim, I'd like to add additional text call outs when the system scrolls so I can explain what's on the screen.  Is there a way of being able to do this in a recorded demo as I'm struggling to see where I can do that.  Thanks in advance.

    The objects used in the software sims are not available as separate objects, sorry.

    There are no click boxes, captions, Text Entry boxes anymore, which are all used in a software sim, because the new version can only use blocks with components due to its focus on responsive project output.

    You'll need to insert either slide templates or blocks on a blank slide template in between the sim slides.

    That is one of the reasons I still use 11.5.5.553 for software simulations. Even Captivate Classic which you can install within the same license as version 12 is better for software sims. Moreover since version  I always use Video Demo for software demo's, sims only for Training/Assessment.

    Thanks so much for responding.  Given I couldn't see any obvious way of adding anything, I figured as much but wanted to check I wasn't missing anything.

     

    I've only been given Captivate in the last week so of course it's the latest version I've been given so I have no previous version to go back to unfortunately.

    You may have not understood what I answered before. The license for version 12 entitles you to install also version 11.8.2 which will be indicated as Captivate Classic. Reason: the new version doesn't yet have all the features which Captivate normally has. Install 11.8.2 and you'll have all the functionalities for software simulations which youo expect.
