Hi,

does anyone know if you can add a hyperlink to a webpage within a captivate 5 page so the learner is able to launch that page without stopoing the current course?

any help is greatly appreciated

If you want something that looks more like a typical text hyperlink with a rollover effect, you can use the Hyperlink Widget: http://www.infosemantics.com.au/hyperlink

    Hello,

There is no one-click tool, but you can add a text caption and put a click box on top of it with as Success action 'Open URL'. Choose if this has to be opened in a new window or in the same window and eventually deselect 'Continue playing the project'.

Thanks, i will try and let you know if it works with my project.

on the other hand i also have a question about video playback, i was playing with the video slide and wanted to know if you suggest incorporating the video directly in the presentation or use a click box to launch the video as a separate window, similar to the answer you describe to my hyperlink question.

That depends on what you want. You can insert slide video, into a slide and be able to add other objects to that slide, eventually synchronising them on the timeline with the video. Or you can insert a FLV (streaming possible) that will have its proper playbar. Tell what you really want with the video.
