    @matt_4168 ,

    Did you import an MP3 file? Is that the "embedded audio" you are referring to? If so, Adobe Captivate does not have a speech-to-text. It will not generate Closed Captions based on an audio file. It does have text-to-speech, where it generates audio based on the accessibility text. However, it doesn't sound like you are looking for text-to-speech.

    If you are dealing with an MP3 file, you have two options:

    1. Manually type captions where they should appear in the audio file.
    2. Create a captions-based file (e.g. SRT or VTT) file from the MP3. You can then either separately import that captions file; or if the captions file is the same name as the MP3 (e.g. slide1.mp3 and slide1.vtt), when you import the MP3 the captions file is also imported at that same time.

    In case you need it, here is the Captivate article on Closed Captions: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/help/closed-captions-in-adobe-captivate.html

    There are paid tools, such as Adobe Premiere, which can generate captions from audio/video files; or there are some free sites that can do the same, if that works for you/your needs.
