Adding closed captions to audio connected to an object or imported video

Captivate does not allow you to create closed captions for audio that is applied to an object or that is part of an imported video. How are people working this out who have CC requirements, but who want to incorporate video or object audio into their training? My best option so far for these slides has been to add a button on the screen that shows a text box when clicked. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Use Multi Slide Synchronized Video. You can add Closed Caption to these types of videos as they are synchronous with the rest of your eLearning project. Here is a video I did awhile back on how to access the Closed Caption portion of multi slide synchronized videos.

I don't use object audio if I want to keep the course accessible.
