Adobe Animate CC with Captivate 9?

With the release of Adobe Animate CC, will we still be able to produce non-SWF animations for Captivate 9?

I've had a lot of success using Edge Animate to produce .oam files and using them with Captivate. Will Adobe Animate CC offer the same sort of output for use with Captivate?

Using Animate CC (formerly Edge) I published the file as a .oem, imported it into my library in Captivate 9, and dragged it from the "Web" section of the library (at the bottom) to the slide. During playback, my file was smooth. I published and played back locally and part of a SCORM in the LMS as well. You just want to make sure your slide is long enough to accommodate your animation (24fps).

Properties include the following.

I turned off the border and Scrolling. As for the transparent playback, it's still an issue. I had to select the stage color in Animate:

Hmmm, is this Edge Animate or the CC Animate (which is the successor of Flash, not of Edge)? There is a typo as well: extension of animation is oam, just want to check.

It is on my 'Todo' list to check the OAM production out from Animate CC, but today was too busy... Yes, it will publish to OAM, just not sure they'll be compatible with CP.

Edge Animate will no longer be developed but is still available and supported.

I am happy to report that based on a simple test, Adobe Animate CC does produce OAM files that I can use in Captivate 8. I think it is safe to think we can also use Animate CC files in Captivate 9 as well.

I did see one posting on the Flash forum where some one asked if Animate CC would open Animate Edge files and convert them. Unfortunately, Animate CC will not update Animate Edge files.

I was able to insert an OAM, with an exception: transparent backgrounds are converted to grey in Captivate 9.

Contrary to Edge Animate, Animate CC has no direct way to have a transparent background. When tweaking the HTML file, background shows up transparent in a web browser, but not in Captivate 9. I didn't test in CP8.
