Adobe Application Manager

Hi,

I'm trying to install the update for Adobe Captivate 8 but when I try to launch the install file I get a message notifying me of "other instances of Adobe Application Manager being open". How do I close anything that is apparently open? This also happens when I try to install the eLearning avatars. I have a Mac. Thanks.
