Hello community!

I´m new to Adobe Captivate, first LMS I´m using.

I need medical/nursing vectors/caracters to be used in my slides, however, I don´t find the way to download them from from Adobe Stock and importing them to my Adobe Captivate Library.

How do I import vectors/caracters from the Stock to my Adobe Captivate 12?

Thank you for your help!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Too bad, there is no longer a Project Library in this new version. There is also no way to access the CC Libraries, which would be a convenient workaround because personally I store all my stock downloads in those libraries. I have launched a request since version 6 to have that access, but no way...

In Captivate Classic it would be easier , but since you are on version 12, this is the workaround:

    • Download the stock images to your system.
    • You may need to edit them in a graphic app. For bitmap images the reason coudl be the huge size of most images. For vector images you'll need to create an output to SVG, because that is the only way to get them into Captivate.
    • In Captivate 12 you need a slide or a block which has a placeholder of the type of image you want to insert.
    • Replace the placeholder image using the right-click menu or the Properties panel. You get a dialog box where you can choose between Assets or System. Choose 'System' and browse to your image. Beware: you can only insert SVGs when using the Media Block SVG (up to 4 SVGs). BTW there are several Characters from the medical sector in the Assets library.

Hi Lily, firstly thank you very much for your response.

I´ve tried to use the characters from medical sectors, but none of them are really useful for the course I need to create, that´s a shame.

I will try to follow your instructions, Thanks!

I am not very happy with the way you need to work now, as you could perhaps feel. Especially being unable to use the CC libraries which are accessible by Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate .... is too bad. Do you know that almost a decade ago there was a Captivate app for the iPad? That app did allow to access the CC libraries, and I used it as intermediate application between those libraries and the desktop version of Captivate. But the app is no longer supported.

Let me know if the proposed workflow is helping? If yes, maybe you could mark it as being a correct answer?
