Running Tahoe 26.4 on Mini Mac M2

.cpt files will not open. Even the “Quick Start” projects on the cpt splash screen will not open

.cpt files do run on Tahoe 26.3.1

Apple Support consulted, no issues reported with Tahoe 24.6 regarding the running of apps.

New user created on Tahoe 24.6, .cpt issues remains.

In desperation, a complete reset of Mini Mac M2, the .cpt issue remains

The only way to open the .cpt files on Tahoe 26.4 is to rename the .cpt.bak files. They open but if closed without an edit and save, they will not open again. With an edit and save they will open during that session. If the Mini Mac M2 in shut down, on restart the .cpt files created from the .bak files will not open.

Classic .cpt files work perfectly in Tahoe 26.4 (Captivate 2019)

I gave Captivate full disk access and all is working as expected. Perhaps there should be a note in the user guide to this effect as is the settings for simulations on a mac.
