Adobe Captivate 2017 - How do I import a PDF into a Responsive Project?

I have several PDF documents that I need to set up in Adobe Captivate 2017.  I do not see a way to import these into a Responsive Project.

Thank you,

Terri

Refer to the link to my blog post on linking to internal and external documents from Adobe Captivate.  It may be useful.  How to Link to External and Internal Documents from an Adobe Captivate Project

You don't import them in a Captivate file, you need to link to them in the Captivate file with the command 'Open File or URL'. When uploading, they have to be uploaded as well. They'll need to be in the folder 'callees' which is created when you publish the course.

Thank you for your response.  I am a very new user.  I do not know how to link and I do not see 'Open File or URL'.

You need to use an 'event' to trigger the 'command'  "Open file or URL". Best way will probably be a button that will open the pdf. Use the Success event of that button, it has a dropdown list where you'll see that command.

The button in its default setup will pause the slide, you'll see that in the Timing panel. If you don't want the pause, you can uncheck that in the Timing panel.

BTW, this is my view on the stumbling blocks for newbies:
