Adobe Captivate 8 won't publish

Just got captivate 8, and very new to the whole captivate system.  Working on a PC at work and trying to put together some training videos.  Every time I try to publish the current project I'm working on Captivate shuts down.  I tried to publish as a video to my computer with no success, each time shutting down after the "generating video" went through 4 min and 55 sec of loading each time.  I also tried to publish it to youtube, and after waiting the 4 min and 55 seconds the adobe captivate video publisher appears and prompts me to login to youtube - except that it doesn't accept my user ID and password for youtube - each time generating this error message "Login failed. Specify the correct username and password, and try again."  This despite my login information being absolutely correct.  Is there something else I have to download to my computer to make publishing possible?  As it stands I can only watch my presentation on the computer I have the license for in the preview fields.

Hello ,

Welcome to Adobe Forums !

Could you please check the current version of Adobe Captivate (Go to HELP > Abut Adobe Captivate)?

Please make sure that it is updated to 8.0.1.242 , If it is not then update it by going to Help > Updates.

Try running Captivate as administrator , Right Click on Captivate and Click Run as admin.

Also make sure that the projects and Published output should be saved on local computer and not on any network drive.

Thanks

Himanshu
