Adobe Captivate 9 Fatal Error Issues

Need some help with Adobe Captivate 9 which has repeatedly displayed a Fatal Error Issue and shut down the software program.  Virtually every key stroke results in the error code.  Help!

    Some questions:

    • Are you on the latest version which is 9.0.2.437?
    • Do you clear the cache regularly? There is a button in Preferences, General settings?
    • Are the folders for Publish at and Cache (Preferences) pointing to folders on your system - not to a networked drive?
    • Is Captivate installed on your system?
    • If you are on Windows, do you Run Captivate as Administrator?

    If this is not helping, please Clean the Preferences. Look for the subfolder 'utils' under the installation folder. Run the CleanPreferences file that is appropriate for your system, while Captivate is closed. If you have a lot of customisation, most of it can be saved but you'll have to check this article to achieve that:

    Thank you for your response.

    - The latest version is installed 9.0.2.437

      When clearing the cache I followed these steps:

    - Open Adobe Captivate 9   Note: All files should be closed, if not close files.

    - Select Edit/Preferences (Shift F8)

    - Select General Settings (check the following boxes):

    - Generate project backup

    - Enable custom workspace/panel undocking

    - (Default Locations): Select Clear Cache

    - Select Yes

    Found a great tutorial by Paul Wilson Adobe Captivate- Clearing your Cache

    Note: All folders are pointing to the computer as opposed to the network

    Note: Captivate is installed on my system

    Note:  I am on windows but do not have rights to run the program as the administrator.

    Note: Clean the Preferences was also completed.

    Still experiencing issues with no change to above issue.
