Where do you put the correct answer for the software to grade it?

Click in the blank field.  You should see a dialog pop up.

My own favorite method of dealing with these is to just select all the text and type over it with how the final phrase should read. Then select across the key word that will be the blank. Right-click it and choose to mark it as a blank.
