Hello,

In multiple-choice question slides.

Is it possible to highlight the correct answer options and show feedback revealing the correct answers after the 3rd attempt even when the incorrect answer options are clicked?

Thank you,

Mam, partial answers are not considered. As it is not possible with MCQ with multiple correct answers. Will follow what you suggest for only 1 correct answer and be ready to implement.

The blog post is just published, you find it under this link:

    Multiple Failure Messages

Let me know if this is suffcient, the blog includes an example tutorial.

    Hello

That is achievable with multiple-choice question slides, yes. Regardless of which options were selected on the third try, you can program feedback to display the right answers and highlight the options that correspond to the responses. This guarantees the students a thorough educational experience. Tell me if you require any help configuring it!

The question has been answered and the answer has been recognized as correct and simple to apply.

I know that there are more complicated solutions, like using advanced answers and JS, but your answer is not even taking into account all data provided by the OP. It looks like an answer created by a ChatGPT agent.

Which exact version are you using? Version 11.8.2 has the label 'Classic Captivate' but is rather buggy. Maybe you have a previous version like 11.5.5.553?

With the default MCQ slides this is not possible AFAIK because you cannot address the individual answers since they do not have an ID. There are no system variables for them neither.

If you create a custom MCQ slide it should be possible, but I have not a blog post right away with the workflow.

During review the learner will see the correct answers, but that is for sure not what you want.

    1) Mam, I am using the version "11.8.2.254".

    2) Can we track the score of custom Mcq in the scorm?

    3) "During review, the learner will see the correct answers, but that is for sure not what you want"- Yes mam, if it is not possible in captivate default MCQ then I will try with custom MCQ if you suggest.

    Thank you!

As I wrote, the version you are using is very buggy. Moreover the learning interactions, including checkboxes and radiobuttons have been taken out. That makes the creation of custom MCQ slides harder. If you design those slides using scored objects the score can be transferred to a LMS. Other features of the default quiz slides are not so easy to mimick.

I just think of an alternative if you don't insist on the highlights. You can have up to 3 failure messages for quiz slides. Why do you not use the third message to indicate the correct answers? That would save you a lot of time compared with creating custom quiz slides.
