Adobe Captivate crashes/not responding after 30%

Hello,

 

I've been trying to open a captivate file from my desktop folder. However I have this error. Another user was able to open the same captivate file after a few minutes. Both my profile and the user user profile has simliar permissions and account types.

    Is the location of your desktop on a virtual drive or is it connected to a roaming profile? If so, do you experience the same issue if you create a folder on your local drive (C:), copy the project to the folder, and open it from there?

    Crashes like this are usually because Captivate is getting tripped up by some other driver or app.  The fact that you and the other user have similar profile permissions is not likely to be that relevant in this case.  You may have some app or driver version that is different and this is interacting with Captivate.

     

    It should not normally take a few minutes to open any Captivate file unless it is huge.  How big is this CPTX?

     

    Are you trying to open the CPTX over a network connection, or have you downloaded it first to your PC hard drive before attempting to open it?
