sing the YouTube integration. It seems like 9.0 works better with this option. Any insight will be helpful but I think I've found the proper workflow for my videos for now.

    Hello,

If crash is happening on all projects ,then you can try starting Captivate as Administrator. Right click on Captivate icon>run as Administrator.

If the error message mentioned above is happening on a particular project, then check for any special character used for any slide name or the project name there. Rename it and then publish the project.

It also happens if Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 was not installed correctly on the computer. If the operating system is 64 bit then download and install it from Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center . Restart the computer and then check the publish issue in Captivate 9.

    Regards,

    Deep

    Patrick,

Captivate 9 is perfectly capable of doing everything Captivate 5 did and much more...including adding Background Audio.

However, the interface has changed quite a lot and if you are NOT seeing some of the options, it might pay to turn on the Preference for Enable Custom Workspaces.

Your issue with crashing during publishing could be due to many things.  You will need to provide more information if we are to offer any help.

When I add background music, it plays double over the portion that is a video demonstration, and double when I publish it. When I just preview it, the background music only plays double over the video demonstration part. The crash after every publish is due to a C++ visual studio error.
