Please give the path to follow to extract the .zip file to the location as you said. Sorry, I am not tech savvy, I need step by step.

Hi there,

Is it Windows 7 (64 bit or 32 bit) or is it Windows XP?

If it is Windows 7, then you can right click on that downloaded zip file (Captivate_6_Neo_Content_LS12.zip or Captivate_6_x64_Neo_Content_LS12.zip ), and click extract all or extract here. You can extract the contents to the same folder where the .zip file is saved.

After it will extract that zipped folder, there will be a file called AdobePatchinstaller.exe, double click on that to start installation. Captivate should be closed while instaling Neo Speech Voices.

I chose Bridget for the voice, but I got Anna. Is there a master voice setting?

You have to choose the note first.  Click just above the text of the note, where Microsoft Anna shows over on the right. 

Once it is selected, then select your speech agent (Bridget), then click the Generate Audio button.

I have repeatedly tried to get the text to speech function to work in Captivate 6 (trial version). I have downloaded the necessary items from the website to no avail.

Please give detailed instruction on which steps to take to actually get the program to work.

Welcome to Adobe Forums!

1.You can download Neo Speech voices from here:

2. After the Downloading is completed, you have to extract that .zip file to the same location. That will have one payloads folder and AdobePatchinstaller.exe, Double click on AdobePatchinstaller.exe to start the installation.

3. While installing it will start the Adobe Application Manager to Update Captivate.
