Adobe Captivate Installer won't load

Just further to Paul’s post, when you run Captivate’s setup.exe file, the executable begins looking for the other files that are part of the installation package. However, when you open a file directly from a zipped archive, Windows extracts only that particular file to a temporary location on your computer. So, what’s happening is the setup.exe file is looking for the other files and not finding them, which is why it hangs. Generally, when installing any program that arrives as a zipped archive, it’s best to extract its contents before attempting to run the setup file.

Make sure you unzip the zipped package before you run it. Running the Setup from within a zip is not the correct way to install Captivate.
