Adobe Captivate learning interactions widget not playing in published MP4

I am new to Captivate (this is only my third Captivate project), and have created a presentation in Captivate 9 that was originally intended to be manually navigated during a discussion.  They loved the presentation so much they want to make it a video that will auto play.  The problem I'm running into is that the learning interaction widgets I've included work beautifully in .exe (where they are manually navigated) but do not display the sub-content when I publish the project in mp4 format.  (the final product must be in mp4 format)

I'm sure I'm missing some simple publishing or timing settings.

(PLEASE don't tell me that what I need is impossible )

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You still don't tell about which 'learning interactions' you are talking? If those are interactions like Accordion, Tabs, Pyramid.... you could consider recording those slides while you interact with them, using the Video Demo feature of Captivate. Such a cpvc-slide can be inserted in a cptx project.

As TLCMediaDesign explains: never publish to a video-format (as MP4) if you want interaction. Videos are meant for passive watching. To have interactivity you have to publish to SWF or HTML5, interactive pdf or exe.

Thank you for responding so quickly!  Actually, I should have clarified that I would like the formerly interactive parts of the presentation to now just autoplay with timed settings to match my voice-over.  Is there a quick way to take those elements and remove the interactive functions if they are prebuilt widgets that came with Captivate?  Or will I need to rebuild the elements to make them display in MP4?

You cannot interact with a video.

Maybe you nee to record the presentation and then publish that as an mp4?
