Adobe Captivate - Not Available

Hello,

Video Demo and Software Simulation not working completely. If I record other applications or anything on the web both work fine, but when I try to capture Captivate using either method using the (Application) radio button option -- Captivate does not show up in the (Select the window to record) drop down menu. Every other open application is in the list, but not Captivate.

Can anyone help? I'm using Captivate 2019 version 11.5.5.553 and I'm on a Windows 11 machine?

Thanks

    Hi Paul,

I apologize for not responding earlier, but I got swamped with a ton of work. Anyhow, thanks so much for your advice it worked great. Also, as a subscriber to your YouTube channel, I find so many of videos extremely helpful. You are real asset to the Captivate community.

Did you open twoinstances of Captivate: one will be used to start the capture as managing one, the other will  cntain the content you want to capture.

You need to open two instances of Captivate.

    1. Open Captivate normally
    2. Then right click on the Adode Captivate icon on your taskbar
    3. Right click on Adobe Captivate 2019 from the context menu
    4. Select Open

One instance will take care of the recording and the other for demonstration purposes. This is actually how I used to record my YouTube videos until I switched to a better application (Camtasia).
