Question

Adobe Captivate text-to-speech

I am using the trial version of Adobe Captivate 2019. I used the text-to-speech feature to narrate the process flow displayed in a video. However, the audio's timeline keeps going back to default whenever I update the slide note. Is this because I am using the trial version? Can someone help me with this?

How did you insert the video? I suspect you may have inserted it as an event video, not as a slide video. Since an event video plays independently of Captivate's slide timeline, and the narration is synchronized with that timeline. If you want video to be synchronized with an audio clip, you either use a video editor or insert the video as slide video.

I inserted the video as a slide video only.

Hmmm... I did re-read your original question '..whenever I update the slide note.'? Do you expect the TTS to change automatically when you edit the slide note? That will not be the case, you need to re-generate the audio clip.

Could you please describe your workflow step-by-step and show a screenshot of the Timeline? You can check the duration of the audio clip in the Project Library.

No.  The trial version of Captivate is fully functional.  The only real limitation is that content published from a trial version will cease to be playable after 30 days.

What do you mean by "audio keeps going back to default"?  By default a slide doesn't have audio unless you either import audio or generate audio using Text to Speech from the Slide Notes.

So, is it reverting to no audio or to some other audio?

The audio timeline is getting reverted to the former timeline. I did manipulate the audio timeline to synchronize with the video. However, the audio timeline keeps on changing every time I play it.
