Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.3

Hello,

I have downloaded the trial run to do tutorials.  As it is explained, I should be able to select an object, click Edit SVG, and then the option "Edit with Adobe Illustrator" This way I should be able to edit (in Illustrator) and then when I return back to Adobe Captivate 9, it would have the new edited version of the object.  Once I close Illustrator after saving and then reopen Captivate 9, it is not edited.

Also, when I attempt to preview, it only goes to IE. Is there any way of changing settings so it will open in Google Chrome?

Thanks in advance,

Michelle

Hi MAB,

Theoretically that should work. Are you saving the file in Illustrator? I think Captivate just creates a "dynamic link" to illustrator which it stores in RAM and dynamically updates as long as you are in the same "Captivate" session. It may need to reference the AI file when you open it again.

Cheers

Your question about the browser: if it uses IE, that means that you have IE set as your default browser. If you want to have Preview in Chrome, you need to define Chrome as your default browser.

I have been using the roundtripping with Illustrator for SVG, but not yet with the last release of AI. Very often the roundtripping has been broken by the other applications on bnew releases. I will try to double-check ASAP but am pretty busy at this moment.
