Hi,

Anyone out there who have stumbled across any documentation in relation to, when Captivate users (both 1 & 2) can use our paid for packages, within Windows Vista?

Is there an alternative package that can work on Vista?

Am I alone, in thinking that I should be able to use an elearning package (Captivate) on a new operating system i.e. Vista?

Anyone know why Adobe, seems to be ill equipped to deal with this important upgrade (Vista)?

Please, everyone, let us discuss these issues, and demand some real answers from Adobe!!!

Regards,

Boxing Boom

    Hi Boxing Boom

If you look through the thread found by clicking here you will find the "official" response from the Adobe Captivate product manager.

On a personal note, you asked if you were alone in thinking that you should be able to use Captivate on a new operating system. While I fundamentally agree that you should, you also have to realize that advancements in operating systems often cause products to fail until their code has been changed to deal with the new OS. It's just a hazard of upgrading your OS. Personally, I'd dearly love to upgrade to Vista. Unfortunately, I'm in the "wait and see" camp, as I have to rely on Captivate and RoboHelp to work on my PC.

    Sincerely... Rick

    Hi Rick,

Yeah, once again your right. It's just a little annoying. I still have my old pc at hand, but I would like to be able to work on the new dell I just purchased.

Do you reckon that Adobe will provide a fix?

And where is Catbandit, I've not seen him on the forums?
