Advance slide NOT working!? Capt. 8

I inserted a sample of the project where I cannot get the slide to “go to previous” or return to “slide 2” using advanced actions. The other parts of the advanced actions work, just not the slide advance.

Does anyone have some ideas I can try?

It works!

I didn't realize that by unselecting "allow backwards movement" that the advanced actions wouldn't work.

I was only thinking it wouldn't show the back button. (face palm) - I can see that now.

I tried it so many ways, including not using advanced actions and just using jump to slide, and even after changing Required field to OPTIONAL, it still won't return to Slide 1 (the non-quiz menu slide).

No, you cannot, and I don't want to delete it (have moderator powers). I didn't see immediately that there was a double post, or I would have taken care of it. Sorry about that, we cannot delete answers for which another user has taken the time to post it.

Did you try the suggestion about the Required field?

Hopefully this image will help to see some detail since not everyone can open a Capt. 8 file.

I could open a CP8 file with a later version, but if the problem is due to a specific issue in CP8 that will not help you.

However since it is about a quiz slide, I suspect this is due to jumping out of a quiz. What are the Quiz Preferences? Especially the field 'Required' is important.

If you want remediation, why not use the built in remediation feature?

Thank you Lilybiri - I didn't realize I had 2 posts - I added a file and selected post and wondered where your comment went.

Yes, I am inserting quiz questions in between regular slides that serve as menus. I can try having only one menu before it and see if that works.

Required is set to "answer all" so I think you're saying if I have the quiz in 1 place, that will work better with this setting.

You're such a great problem solved--- stay tuned - and I'll let you know -- conf. call next.

Sorry, if you posted the advanced action and gave more details, I could perhaps try to help. But since CP8 is no longer installed on my systems, downloading a project is not a solution
