Aggregator TOC frustration

How do I remove the aggregator TOC? How do I lessen the real estate used up by the aggregator TOC?  How do I have the expander icon function in an aggregator project?  I know aggregator has limits but any ideas would help

    Hello there,

One thing that you could try would be to use the TOC overlay feature. To do this carry out the following steps.

    1. Choose Project > Table of Contents (Shift + F10)

    2. Select the Show TOC check box

    3. Click the Settings button

    4. Select the Overlay radio button

    5. Click OK

Back in the Skin Editor dilaog box you will now notice that there is a new button called TOC in the Playback control. If you publish this SWF and make it the Master Movie in the Aggregator, this should then be used for all the other SWFs you use in your Aggregator project.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Followed the steps but the toc from the aggregator still appeared.

    Hi there,

When you added the SWF that includes the TOC to the Aggregator project, did you make this the Master Movie?

Also, it might be worth checking to see if you have the TOC option set on any of your other published SWF files. Maybe there is a file that is overriding the TOC on the Master Movie.

    Just a thought

I never really used the Aggregator myself, but I did a search here on the forums and it's pretty clear that you can't do anything at all to modify the way the aggregator works.

Apparantly it's not possible to remove the aggregator TOC and it's not possible to have the expander icon or make the TOC smaller.

Perhaps this product from KC Web Plaza would be a better option for you: http://www.kcwebplaza.com/captivate/launch_pad.html
