Akamai downloader is just a blank screen

I'm trying to download Captivate 2017 from Download Adobe Captivate free trial | Adobe Captivate (2017 release) but Akamai Download Manager is just a blank screen. I have tried 4 different browsers (Chrome, Edge, IE, and Firefox) on 3 different computer systems (Windows 7 and 10, 64-bit) and none of them will start the download. This isn't limited to Captivate 2017, I received the same results when trying to download Premiere Elements and RoboHelp.

In both cases, Chrome's Inspector shows two errors:

dlmstrings_en.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

customdlm.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

Is there some way to resolve or get around this issue?

Yes, you could download from an alternative site (totally lega!) which is not using a download manager. For Captivate 2017, have a look at:

https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-captivate-2017-direct-download-links.html

To activate or to buy you'll still have to use Adobe site of course.
