Question

All new Capitvate won't update some text in the image grid, but keeps reverting to previous text.

Working on a project with a lot of image grid components. Sometimes when I copy a component, it reverts to the Lorem Ipsum text. Then sometimes when I have it correct in my project, it reverts to lorem ipsum text when published, but the text is correct in the project. It sometimes reverts to the text from the copy after I rename the copy. It sometimes reverts when I apply a different style.

Now, when I cleared my cache, and reloaded the project, the project text itself reverted to the Lorem Ipsum text. It behaves as if some edits are kept in the cache, and never saved to the project. When editing, it shows the cached information.

Using Adobe Captivate 12.6.0 on Windows 11.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

In the editor, it looks like this:

When previewed, it looks like this:

This is a bug. But there is a workaround. When faced with this bug,

    1.  Double-click the text box (either title, subtitle, or body), highlighting the existing content to replace.

    2.  Type in the intended text, replacing the highlighted text.

    3.  Click the scratch area (the area outside the editable document).

*Note the text box you are working with remains selected.

If it does not remain selected, stop. This solution is not for this problem.

    4.  In the Style panel, change the style to any other text style.

*Note: If the text doesn't take, you'll see the text revert to the previous text here.

If the text reverted to Lorem Ipsum text, or the previous text, start over with step 1 and try again.

    5. In the Style panel, change the style to your intended style.

Preview the page to ensure it took.

    5.  In the Style panel, change the style to your intended style.
