All new captivarte - Export software simulation as video

A the title says. Is this not possible in all new..?
I customer sendt me a course made in all new...(thank you for nothing adobe!!)
Now, this simple task as export it to video seems to be impossible. All I can find is to export as HTML or DOC?

It looks like this feature is not available in the All New Captivate. This is quite problematic for many users. Please go to the Adobe feature request page and give an upvote to this request:

The reason for lacking to publish to MP4 is that it makes no sense to publish to a passive video from a responsive project. Even in previous versions of Captivate, only non-responsive projects could be exported to MP4, and there was also the VideoDemo which natively exported to MP4.

I have answered this already a couple of times in this forum and elsewhere.

New Captivate can only cr;eate responsive projects, which means that the published output needs to adapt to the used browser/device resolution on runtime. Video output in all previous releases was also only possible from a NON-responsive project, which is perfectly logical to me. How do you want a video to act on other resolutions? Passive video never has been really compatible with responsiveness. Only since 11.5 was it possible to replace a slide with fluid boxes by one without fluid boxes but set up using Position Properties. That made it possible to use passive or interactive video in a responsive project. See:

This explains why you can only publish to HTML or to SCORM (if Reporting is set up)? You cannot publish to DOC, only export slide notes and Captions to a Word document for translation goal. Export and publishing are two different workflows.

If you want to publish to passive video you'll need to use Captivate Classic.

If you have answered it before I guess its a feature that alot of us need. We have been using software simulation to export to video for a long time and its perfect for the type of courses vi create. Why would adobe think of removing this is a bit strange to me. We create courses for a fixed screen size.
Hopefully this will be a function in the coming updates.

I am just a user like you, and from my many answers here you could be aware that I am not a fan of the new version because it lacks a lot of features.

However since version 6 I never used a software simulation to create a passive video anymore, since Video Demo was added. Not only does it lead to much better quality, but it has a powerful non-destructive editor which surpasses what is possible with the slide-based software simulations. I still use software simulations but only in Assessment and Training mode. Here is another drawback of the software sims in the new version: since it will be published as a responsive project, the application will automatically pan and zoom on mobile devices. That is really not what I want in software training because it points to the region where the learner needs to click.

I really regret that the Video Demo has been lost in the new version. It means that I need to go back to Camtasia to create a good quality passive video.
