Question

All radio buttons on every slide disappeared

Hey forums,

I was editting a text caption, and I copied some text from a powerpoint presentation over. After the text had been pasted, I saved the captivate file. To my surprise, all of the radio buttons, on every single slide, had disappeared. Well, they are there, but they do not have a radio button image anymore; they are effectively click boxes now.

Anybody encounter this before?

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi there

Were they Option buttons in the PowerPoint? For example, did you have a PowerPoint preso that had Option buttons and you imported that into Captivate?

My reason for asking is because to my knowledge, Captivate does not offer Option buttons as an object one may insert. I suppose there may be a widget that could offer it. And I do note that some of the Question slides offer it, but it's not something one gets without taking special actions to add it.

My thought is that perhaps these were present in the PowerPoint and maybe something replaced them in the background.

Cheers... Rick

Yeah, I did take a side route to design my question slides. The navigation problems from Captivate 4 are still in Captivate 5, so I've decided to simulate quizzes instead of using the built-in question slides.

The Option buttons were put in manually, no import from PPT, everything was done from scratch. After I saved the file, and opened it the next day, the radio buttons reappeared. The strange thing wasn't that the buttons were gone, they were there, but the image was gone. Apparently a refresh did the trick.

Thanks Rick.
