Allowing student to resume quiz where they left off

Help!

I am trying to creat a learing module with quiz that allows the student to resume quix where they left off. I do not have access to LMS. I have set the TOC and unchecked self paced learning, and uneter preferences>quiz>checked enable reporting for this project.  Everytime i publish the project i get the message that an error has occured: Error-unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Please contact technical suppotrt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well it looks like i finally got the message to show up!  Now the only problem is that it doesnt save results from questions answered before the user closed out of the browser. Is this possible

If you want to have the user returned to the slide where they left off, turn ON Self-paced Learning.  Do NOT enable Reporting if you are NOT using an LMS.  Enabling reporting has no purpose unless there is going to be some way to capture the results, and having it on will automatically disable Self-paced Learning.

If you are NOT using an LMS or other report capture mechanism then NO the Captivate file will have no way to save results from previous questions answered.

Look at the SaveAndLoadData widgets (Google for it).  They may provide a possible solution.  But you'll need to be using quite a lot of variables and Advanced Actions to capture the scoring and save it out to the user's PC as variables.
